What's Ahead:
Friday night brings breezy wind, rain and mountain snow. The cold front creating all the weather will move into the Cascades and eastward near 9pm leaving plenty of showers in its wake. Snow levels are near 3,000 feet ( Snoqualmie Pass ) and snow accumulations will range from 3 to 6" by early Saturday morning. The highest accumulations are expected for Mt. Baker towards Stevens Pass.
Morning lows Saturday will be in the mid 30s to low 40s, Highs will be in the 40s.
Saturday showers will decrease through the early afternoon and there will be some clearing. Areas of morning fog Sunday will clear to partly to mostly sunny skies. Highs will be in the upper 40s to mid 50s.
The foothills of the Cascades will become breezy late Sunday as another frontal system approaches. A few areas of rain are expected on the north coast and near the Canadian border Monday but most of western Washington will be dry with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s. Tuesday a disturbance moving over the area will bring areas of rain. Wednesday will be partly sunny and cool in the 40s.
