SEATTLE -- The snow showers are over, but some snow remains on the ground east and north of Seattle. As the sun peaked through in many areas surrounding the Puget Sound, it melted away some of the snow that accumulated over the past several days.Residents across northern Snohomish County, southern Skagit County, and the East Puget Sound all had snow accumulations over the weekend. One family in Marysville even had enough snow over the weekend to build snowmen and snow angels.

KIRO 7 meteorologist Monty Webb said showers are few and far between as the snow turns into rain Sunday night.Any remaining rain showers could turn into snowflakes, but no accumulation is expected.Overnight skies should be partly cloudy to clear with no rain or snow in sight. No snow is expected in the upcoming week; in fact temperatures are slated to reach the mid 50s by Tuesday.
