A low-pressure center located over Western Washington will be spinning showers across the Puget Sound through the day today before moving east of the region by late in the day. Coastal areas south of Forks will see more steady and heavier rainfall, and a few coastal locations could end up with upwards of an inch of rain by day’s end. Most locations will see between 0.10” and 0.25”. Showers will become most numerous around Seattle early this afternoon, with the onset of showers around Everett later in the day.
It will also be breezy across the northern sections of the Puget Sound and across the islands later this afternoon with wind gusts over 30mph possible.
Highs will be in the upper 40s to around 50.
Showers will taper tonight though a few areas of light rain or drizzle will be possible going into Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon, an approaching weak cold front will bring a few more showers around the region to end the weekend.
Snow levels will be around 3,500 feet falling to below pass levels tomorrow and Monday. Light amounts of snow are expected, mainly less than three inches.
For Monday, showers will taper as high pressure tries to build in. We could still see a few light showers on Tuesday and Wednesday along with some sunbreaks.
The long-range weather pattern remains conducive for occasional periods of showers through next week, but no significant storms appear on the horizon through next weekend.
