As an upper-level low moves south through Southwest Washington and into northern Oregon, the chance for showers and a few thunderstorms continues.

However, most of the lightning threat, along with small hail, is expected to affect locations in the mountains and adjacent foothills. The chance of lightning strikes in the lowlands is small today, but still does exist.

It will be partly sunny with warm high temperatures in the 70s to near 80.

Another, colder, upper-level low moves into the region for Sunday. We'll see onshore flow bringing cooler and cloudy weather in from the Pacific with many areas not breaking out into more sunshine until later in the day.  A few showers are likely and there's only a slim chance of thunder on Sunday. Highs will be in the 60s.

More sunshine is likely on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures rebounding into the 70s with afternoon mountain and foothill thunderstorms.
