Spooky storm clouds over Seattle at sunrise

Spooky Seattle Sunrise

The KIRO 7 camera atop Queen Anne captured the spooky dark clouds that greeted the city at sunrise, followed quickly by sunshine and rain showers.

You can see the spectacular timelapse video by clicking this link (or at left)!

This pre-Thanksgiving storm system will bring more showers to Seattle and the lowlands and some snow to the passes through the afternoon.

After our very stormy weather, we'll get a break for Thanksgiving Day, with only a few showers at the north coast and through the islands.

It is likely, though, to stay breezy during the holiday north and west of Seattle.

Through the passes, expect light snowfall yet improved travel from Wednesday.

If you have great weather pictures from the holiday, let us see them!  Email them to us at newstips@kirotv.com or tweet them to us @KIRO7Seattle.

Enjoy the holiday and stay safe! -mp
