Sky Drill Dream

POSTED: 5:37 pm PDT July 13, 2008

(Sports Network) - Candice Dupree and Jia Perkins each scored 18 points as the Chicago Sky clobbered the Atlanta Dream, 79-66, at UIC Pavilion.

Chasity Melvin added 10 points for the Sky, who raced to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and 44-17 at the half. Chicago snapped a four-game skid.

Melvin's bucket extended the lead to 50-19 early in the third, and although Atlanta trimmed the deficit, the Dream never threatened in the fourth.

Katie Feenstra had 21 points and eight rebounds for the Dream, who fell to 2-19 in their inaugural season. Feenstra made all 11 of her free throw attempts, but the Dream lost its second straight after two consecutive victories. Betty Lennox and Jennifer Lacy each added 11 points in defeat.
