CENTRALIA, Wash. -- Health officials in Lewis County have warned that dogs sold by a breeder in the Ethel-Toledo area were infected with canine brucellosis.Health officials said anyone who bought or adopted a dog from a woman in a red car since mid-February should have their animal tested.
The breeder sells purebred and "designer" mixed breeds, including pugles, which are beagle-pug mixes and terrier-Chihuahua mixes. The woman sold the dogs from along state Route 508 near Mary's Corner, on U.S. Highway 12 near the Ethel Market or from a parking lot at Exit 79 on Interstate 5 in Chehalis, health officials said. They said she also rescues dogs of all breeds and adopts them out.
