If you see your neighbor lighting fireworks illegally in Seattle, Tacoma or Bellevue, don't call 911 to report them.

The Seattle Fire Department expects to receive nearly double the number of normal emergency calls Friday, making it the busiest day for fire officials and 911 dispatch.

Seattle, Tacoma and Bellevue police want you to call their non-emergency lines instead.

They don't want 911 to be clogged up in case more serious emergencies happen.

The Seattle police non-emergency line is 206-625-5011. In Tacoma, the number to call is 253-798-4722 and in Bellevue call 425-452-6917.

Other areas do want you to 911 if you see your neighbors setting off fireworks where they’re not suppose to.

These areas that want you to call 911 are Everett, Lynnwood, Kent and Auburn.
