Another small outage caused by equipment failure in the Viewridge neighborhood began just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning, said Connie McDougall of Seattle City Light.

The outage affected 76 customers and power was restored by 2 p.m. This outage is unrelated to Saturday’s power losses. The boundaries of this outage are:

North: Northeast 74th Street
South: Northeast 65th Street
East: 57th Avenue Northeast
West: 52nd Avenue North

Around 3,800 customers, including Northgate Mall, were affected Saturday in a power outage.

The original number of customers was reported as 5,200 because another smaller outage in the University District and Wallingford area occurred, but officials later reported there was no loss of power to those customers.

The first power outage happened around 1:45 p.m. Saturday when crews working on high-voltage transmission lines dropped a wire onto distribution lines below, McDougall said.

Boundaries of the outage on one line are:

North: Northeast 120th Street
South: North 100th Street
East: 11 Avenue Northeast
West: Fremont Avenue North

Restoration for the 2,509 customers on this line was expected about 10 p.m.

Boundaries for the second line affected were:

North: Northeast 114th Street
South: Northeast 95th Street
East: 8th Avenue Northeast
West: Fremont Avenue North

Those 1,344 customers served by that line had power restored to them around 5:30 p.m.

The University District and Wallingford areas power outage near Interstate 5 occurred around 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

No customers were affected by this outage.

The cause is unknown, but officials expected power to be restored by 6 p.m. Saturday.
