Men Wanted In Serial Bank Robberies

SEATTLE -- A man and his accomplice accused of robbing US Bank branches three times since August 2007 are wanted by the Seattle branch of the FBI.Agents said the banks that were robbed are located inside large commercial buildings with numerous levels and businesses.The robber and his associate approached the banks together and then split up inside the building while staying in contact by phone, police said. Police said the robber cased the bank for 10 to 15 minutes, usually within 20 feet of the entrance, and then entered the bank, presented a note stating he had a gun and then placed the money in a shoulder bag.The man then exited the building casually and met up later with the accomplice, the FBI said.Police said the man and his associate are believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies:US Bank at 1420 Fifth Avenue in Seattle (City Centre Bldg) on 08-07-07 at 12:05 p.m.US Bank at 1420 Fifth Avenue in Seattle (City Centre Bldg on 07-10-08 at 2:45 p.m.US Bank at 10425 Northeast Eighth Street in Bellevue (Bellevue Square) 07-17-08 at 10:39 a.m.The FBI said that 40 minutes after the Bellevue US Bank robbery on July 18, the Bank of America branch at 3408 South 23rd Street in Tacoma was robbed by a male with a description similar to that of the associate in the previous cases.
