EVERETT, Wash. — A woman was killed in a single car crash in Everett on Friday night, officials said.
Detectives responded around 9:30 p.m. to a crash in the 12600 block of East Gibson Road.
A car was driving north on the road when the driver lost control, driving off the road and hitting a metal fence. The passenger in the car, a 39-year-old Everett woman, died in the crash.
The driver, a 44-year-old Everett man, was detained for a blood search warrant and later released.
The road was closed for several hours while detectives investigated.
